A Virginia native, he graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Duke University before completing medical school at Duke University Medical Center in 1997 and his plastic surgery residency at Duke in 2003. Completed a dedicated hand surgery fellowship at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery. He also completed an advanced cosmetic surgery fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham under Dr. Luis Vasconez, one of the fathers of modern plastic and cosmetic surgery, receiving a faculty appointment as an Instructor during his time there. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (2006) and has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor, a distinction awarded to only the top 7% of U.S. board-certified physicians.

So happy with my results - I would recommend him 100%. I recently received chin liposuction after having paradoxical fat hyperplasia from cool sculpting (done elsewhere). Dr. Sundin is amazing. I recently got lipo on my upper abs lower abs and flanks. I can see a difference already. Staff at the hospital that he does the procedure was amazing too! The garment provided is super comfortable and not too tight. I can't wait to see my final results.
