Dr. Rod J. Rohrich

Dr. Rod J. Rohrich is an internationally recognized, board-certified plastic surgeon known for his exceptional expertise, innovation, and leadership in the field of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. Based at the Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute in Texas, Dr. Rohrich also serves as Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine and has influenced nearly every major facet of modern plastic surgery.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Rohrich has held top leadership roles in the most respected plastic surgery organizations, including serving as President of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, The Rhinoplasty Society, and the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons. He has also chaired the American Board of Plastic Surgery’s Oral Exam and played a key role in advancing accredited training programs across the U.S.

Dr. Rohrich is widely regarded as a pioneer in both surgical technique and academic leadership. He transformed the Department of Plastic Surgery at UT Southwestern into one of the nation’s top programs and became the first plastic surgeon named a Distinguished Teaching Professor at the institution. As Editor-in-Chief of the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (PRS) journal and PRS Global Open, he has helped shape the global conversation around innovation and excellence in plastic surgery.
